The visit to Goa was unexpected as it was the official visit to the Campus - BITS, Pilani, Goa campus. It was a very short journey of 50 minutes from Bangalore over a flight, we reached the campus at 3-45 pm of Thursday. We had a warm welcome by the training & placement coordinator, who was a final year student of E &C branch. After a quick introduction, we had our lunch at their college canteen. The food was pretty descent, we were offered the best menu of the canteen. Thanks to Gunveer in helping to choose the menu. We met the new training &placement officer who had recently joined the campus, yet he knew most of the co-ordinates in the college. Amazed to see such personality!
We started our process as soon as possible so that we can wind up everything the same day. Finally it was 1-30 am in the night by the time we finished the entire selection process. We had booked our stay at Casa-de Goa, Calangute which is around 40 km from the campus. The T &P officer had arranged the vehicle for commutation. We checked in the hotel at 3-00 am and called off the day.
Calangute, Goa :
Woke up in the morning and had the complimentary break fast at the hotel. It was very good and filling the stomach at least for half a day. We hired two wheelers and started tanning under sun. We reached the Vagha beach, walking aimlessly on the shores for some interesting things to look around. We joined a group from Mumbai, who were playing beach football. Even though we lost the match, it was very good to play a foot ball after a very long time in the busy life of sitting in front of computer and playing football matches.. I was damn tired by the 15 minutes of play in the bare foot under the sun. Everything is commercialized due to heavy inflow of tourists in these areas. Since it was off season, we could get a bed to relax for a dirt cheap of 50 INR for an hour. Started gazing at the sea, in return for a calm and complete relaxation. Spent around an hour and started moving back on the shores. On the way, water bike attracted us copping of 300 INR from the pocket. The ride was good, with thrilling moments due to the jump over the waves in the middle of the sea. We returned to the hotel and straight away jumped into the pool. Just the way i jumped, i had to return back in no time injured severely on my leg due to the cut happened by the sharp edge of the exhaust of the pool. Enjoyed the pool just by gazing on the resting bed on the pool side. Had lunch, took a nap for some time and left the hotel at 7-00 pm. Just roamed around the place of night life i.e., Tittoss till the midnight and returned back to the hotel after a pleasant ride of 6 km near the Mallya's resort.
